In 1987, Charlie Reitsma (son of Yke) joined D&R as a partner in the company. Yke retired in 1996 but continued working part-time for the company until his full retirement in April 1998. Fred Engelage joined D&R in 1998 and became a partner to replace Harry Oldenhof, who retired in 1999. Chris Boers and Dan Engelage joined D&R to replace Charlie Reitsma, who retired in 2011, and Fred Engelage, who retired in 2015. Andre Haaksma joined the D&R ownership in 2015.
